Racism is defined as the systematic correlation of certain racial organizations by these groups in power. Being a society, we have to first get rid of ignorance in order to defeat racism. We must recognize that people have different ways of browsing the world and that even though someone may have got a different view than you, not necessarily necessarily wrong. The idea that individuals have different ways of viewing the earth stems from perspective theory. Standpoint theory is based on the concept that folks view the globe differently based on their interpersonal standing. A central theme of standpoint theory is that an individual's racial and or ethnic background deeply affects how they perspective and interact with the world. Ethnicity location and racial standpoints are both important elements of perspective theory. A racial location is defined as the racial or ethnic groupings to which a person goes. Everyone has a racial area because everybody identifies with at least one or more races. Having a racial location does not necessarily mean the particular one has a racial standpoint. A racial standpoint refers to a racial position accompanied by a deep and oppositional understanding that the experiences happen to be influenced by societal and political areas. The way we all behave plus the way we think is a product of our environment and is a direct result of our years as a child. As we expand up the beliefs and opinions happen to be shaped simply by our experiences and the example set forth simply by our father and mother. My very best influences on my views of race have already been my parents. My parents emigrated by Nigeria for the United States more than 30 years ago. My parents will always be open-minded regarding different competitions and ethnicities but they are likely to be protected when reaching people of Caucasian dissent, indicating to my opinion that they have had past unfavorable experiences causing them to behave this way.
